What: Its Family Fun Day at the Eco Park!
When: 1pm -4pm, Saturday July 9th

Come on out to the Eco Park and share in the fun! The Eco Park will have games for the kids, nature trails, fishing, play ground, and all kinds of good fun for the Family to enjoy!
We will have hot dogs and refreshments so bring your lawn chair or blanket and come spend an afternoon at the Eco Park!

ReForest London
ReForest London and the Graham Family invite you to help launch the Graham 10,000 Trees for the Dingman by planting over 300 native trees and shrubs. The Graham 10,000 Trees for the Dingman is a multi-year project to plant 10,000 native trees and shrubs in the Dingman Creek watershed. This spring ReForest London will plant over 1,500 trees and shrubs in this initiative.
Date: Saturday, May 14, 10am-1pm

We are looking for volunteers of all ages and abilities. Planting trees is a fun outdoor activity for families and individuals, and a great way to meet new people. We’ll teach you how to plant a tree properly at the beginning of the event, so please be prompt. No volunteer registration is required, but please remember:
- Wear sturdy shoes – no sandals or flip-flops please.
Wear clothing appropriate to the weather – we plant rain or shine!
- Bring water – we’ll have a jug to refill your reusable bottle.
- Bring a shovel if you have one, but we have some to lend you if you don’t.
- Secondary students can earn volunteer hours at our events.
- Don’t forget your forms!
- Walk, cycle, take the bus or carpool if you can.
- Please look at the map and watch for posted white and green signs directing you to the planting location.
WE NEED YOUR HELP - OUR GOAL -
PLANT 1426 TREES - One for Each Athelete this Summer
Time: 10:45am
Date: Saturday June 26th, 2010.
Place: The EcoPark - Medway Road, just east of Clarke Road, look for the large sign and entrance.
Goal: Plant 1426 trees, one for each athlete this summer.
We need your help! Come out and join us at the Eco Park and help plant some trees, have a bbq lunch, and help us in honouring the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Athletes and their families. Help create a legacy, as one tree will be planted for every Special Olympics Canadian Summer Games Athlete.
A big thank you to Fanshawe College, Special Olympics Summer Games London 2010, for selecting the EcoPark as the place to plant
the trees.
April 27th
TREE PLANTING AT THE ECO PARK
This is a quick note to tell you about a TREE PLANTING at the ECO PARK taking place, Tuesday April 27th. Linda Smith and our friends at the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority have generously provided in cooperation with Enbridge and the London School Boards, over 175 trees to be planted in the park.
We are hoping for fantastic weather to help facilitate the planting. We also want extend a thanks to the folks at TRY Recyclingfor generously providing compost and wood chips/ mulch for the days festivities.
Thank you Linda for thinking of the Eco Park with this fantastic contribution to the environment.
This event is an outstanding kick off to productive and busy year at the Eco Park.

9:00 am - 11:00 am - Grade 5 & 6 students from Lord Roberts French Immersion School
12:00 - 2:00 - Grade 5 & 6 students from St. Pius X Catholic School
Enbridge employees will be joining us with this planting as they one of the funders of this project.
Please feel free to join us as we plant 175 native trees and shrubs.

Eco Park Family Events
The Graham Family Eco Park is a year round destination for children and families. The large Kaboom Playground is a place for fun and laughter for children of all ages. There are three volleyball courts, two soccer fields, a large fishing pond, interpretive trails to be explored, wild flower fields, swimming and canoe area, picnic tables for crafts and meals.
In the winter there are hiking trails and snow shoe trails and plenty of room for snowman building and forts. There are hills for tobogganing and a great open space for kids to be kids!
During the summer months, the Graham Family Eco Park is home to the Memorial Boys and Girls Club Day Camps. At any given time you will find the Park being enjoyed by over fifty kids on a daily basis. Camp activities include arts and crafts, fishing, canoeing, swimming, volleyball, soccer, and good old fashion fun like bean bag races and tug of war! This truly is a place of pure enjoyment of the environment and outdoors.
